Cooks take advantage of the fresh vegetables that are grown here on The Athenian School campus. Meals are served cafeteria-style in the dining hall and include unlimited helpings of wholesome food: fruit, yogurt, cereal, pancakes, eggs, waffles, bacon, sausage, and juices for breakfast; soups, salad bar, hot entrées for lunch and dinner. There are vegetarian and vegan options at every meal including a hot entrée. Summer English Language participants share meals with students involved in other summer programs at The Athenian School. Students will also eat at local restaurants while on field trips.

Summer Camp StudentsAsk students who have been with us in the past and they will tell you how much they enjoyed our staff. Our teachers are experienced with strong backgrounds and years of experience.

At our summer camps, our enthusiastic staff creates a summer that is safe, conducive to learning, and meaningful. Students will be housed in either a single or double room in a single-sex dormitory. With the guidance of trained dorm supervisors who share the dorms, students learn to make adjustments necessary for communal living.

Here students bowl during our summer camps.Living closely with other young people from widely differing backgrounds is one of the most rewarding experiences of the Summer English Language Program. There are two scheduled visitor evenings in which families and friends may join their students for dinner. For students who will soon be faced with the responsibility and independence of a private boarding school or college life, a summer of living in the dorm provides ample opportunity for developing self discipline, time management skills, and respect for others.

As they learn English in our program, students are expected to attend all scheduled events, classes and field trips. Students must conduct themselves in a mature and responsible manner. Students are required to treat other members of the community with respect and to take responsibility for their own actions.
